Effective January 29, 2021, Victim Services, Inc. Program Administrator of the Polk County Attorney’s Bad Check Restitution Program will no longer be accepting checks at this office. 

Moving forward, if you believe your business has been the victim of a crime involving a fraudulently written check, please contact your local law enforcement agency for purposes of making a crime report or contacting the Polk County Attorney’s Office at 222 5th Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309 by mail or by phone at 515-286-3737. Additionally, you may consider pursuing a civil remedy in Small Claims Court.
